It will help reduce plug fouling if you: 1) Run a hotter plug, maybe try an Autolite 3116 which is a Non Resistor Plug..... 2) Use Shutters or other type radiator air restrictors to get n keep the temp up to at least 180 degrees. 3) Do not run the carb any richer then necessary to avoid that flat black colored sooty carbon fouling plug deposit. If she throws excess black smoke out the stack and the plugs come out flat black sooty lookin, thats excess unburned fuel (see below) 4) Use Wire core NOT carbon core suppressor type plug wires. Are the plugs coming out with a flat black colored sooty dry powdery coat?? Thats excess unburned fuel from running too rich (try leaning the carb settings) or an inlet air or air cleaner restriction, make sure the choke butterfly is opening full n stays full open and the lower air cleaner bowl is clean n full of oil NOT overfilled or water filled. Are the plugs wet shiny dark black uneven coated??? That may be oil burning from worn rings or cylinders or worn valve guides. Hows the compression??? If wayyyyy lower on that one side that may be the problem if the plugs are oil fouled or perhaps a bad valve causing lower compression, have you checked the valve lash lately???. If shes burning oil from bad rings or cylinders or valve guides she would throw blue smoke out the stack and that oil burning can foul the plug. Try n determine if they are gas or oil fouled
If the spark is NOT a good bright visible blue as opposed to a faint thin wimpy yellow, try a good ignition tune up like points n condenspor n cap n rotor etc with new hotter plugs n carbon core wires let me know what ya find????? John T

At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p
