I would be most concerned with rust. The 73's rusted very, very badly, the 74's were a little better and by 81 the rust problems were not bad at all. But a 75 is iffy. If there is much rust through visible, there is a whole lot more that you can't see yet. While parts availability is excellent and parts cost is very good, doing very much body work/rust repair will quickly make a $2k pickup a $10k pickup, which you could never get out of it.

The other thing I would be asking is how many miles the engine has on it, and just what "crate engine" it is supposed to be. That term can mean anything these days, from a real good and expensive engine, to the lowest quality and cheapest overhaul.

If it runs good, drives good, has good tires and interior and matches your needs, I doubt that you will find too much better for $2k. Good luck!
