Sounds like you got hit by a scam. Go down to your bank and talk to them face-to-face. Have them show you exactly why they think you're overdrawn. You may need to get the police involved. Here's what might have happened: They give you a bad check, which you deposit. Then, knowing that you have $3000 in your account, they make a withdrawal from your account in the amount of $3000 before their check bounces. Now you're short. If the bank was negligent in getting proper ID from someone withdrawing money from your account, then they are liable. One last thought. You wouldn't happen to be missing any checks? Take a look in the back of your checkbook. Not that they need a check to get money out of your account; knowing the account numer is sufficient. I had something similar happen many years ago, when banks didn't require IDs to make deposits. I received my bank statement, and there was a deposit I didn't make. Someone got my account number and made a deposit to my account. The check was bad and they took cash back from the deposit. The bank made good on it, but they sure dragged their feet.

The warm glow of yellowish light can be seen for quite some distance at dusk, and
