I attended an auction that had a Farmall 400D, Wide front. quick-hitch. They did not get it to start. It was missing a few parts, but was almost complete. (tires shot, sheetmetal poor)I was still married then and I knew better than to buy it. It sold for $800 which was a fair price. Later it occurred to me that I could have swapped a few parts between my tractors and still sold the leftovers for that same $800. It may have been two people in a simular situation.
