Aaron... NOT to "nitpick"; just to clarify terms... Since we are dealing with DC here; it's NOT a current transformer; which only work on AC current. It is an "induction ammeter". And; yes; it will read backwards if the wire is looped through it the wrong way. OH; OH; now I've got to thinking... IS "induction ammeter" the correct term?
