wild idea with an F20 rod brng

This is just a wild idea that's a little, well maybe a lot on the far side. I pulled the rod caps on an F20 I'm slowly taking apart and the babbit (sic) has come loose and spun in one of the rods. The cap only has a couple of small scratches in it and the outside of the babbit looks OK so here's the wild idea; can I epoxy the babbit back in and make it hold? I pulled the caps last night and that's as far as I got, so it's still sitting there with the babbit stuck to the crank and the pistons are still stuck. It will be a long time before this thing runs again so I do have time to find another rod, but I just thought I would run this by you guys to see what you thought. Jim
