T.V.O. was a trade mark of Shell, it stands for tractor vapourising oil, if you got your tractor fuel from Esso it was called Esso Green. When I lived in England we used to make it using the following recipe:
4 gallons of heating oil (kerosene)
1 gallon of petrol
2 pints of diesel
These are all English measures and I ran my TED-20 on it with no problems, A friend also ran a Cropmaster and a standard Fordson with no trouble. Its nearest modern equivilant is Jet fuel, but I cant find a pipe long enough to syphon it out of a 747! In N.Z. we just use petrol as it is cheaper than kerosene.
