What would you do

Had a guy write me a check the other day for the Case 930 I have. Yesterday his wife called and said due to bank problems the check is no good, I still have the tractor. She also said the man would be up some time this week to get the tractor and would bring cash when he came. Now do I hold it or do I call a couple of the other people that wanted to look at it. I did say I would hold it till saturday which I will do but how do you handle things like this???
