PTO shaft repair

I got a Sidewinder mower, and the PTO shaft is dinged. The upper and lower square bars are encased in steel sleeves that slide on each other. The outer sleeve is dented about 1/3 of the way up, making it difficult for the inner one to slide in. How do I get the dent out?
