Bad part or the high scrap price is: We are selling off a valuable asset.. I am guilty of this, too, so I am not trying to preach.. Most of the scrap is going to China, they are starting up some huge steel mills. The ships come here filled with cheap junk to sell at Walmart, and return to China, loaded with scrap metal.. Not many years ago, in our area, there were lots of old junk tractors, trucks, and implements sitting around.. Then, the county started giving folks 30 days to get rid of them, claiming they were an "Eyesore".. Now, most of the old iron is gone.. Once all of our metals are sold to China, we are going to be in a heap of trouble...
