You gotta use OEM front axles. I had an '88 S-15 Jimmy that used to go through a front axle every single year. At $300 a whack it was killing me. Finally a guy said for $450 he'd put in an OEM axle, I drove that one 3 years until I replaced the truck...
"rebuilt" front axles are garbage, I'll only ever get a good used or NEW and new its got to come from a dealer. My Dodge Dakota has never needed one, knock on wood...
