Do a little more research on the 1 ton to 3/4 ton front end swap . It's not a direct bolt in . The spring pad spacing on the 1 tons are different than 3/4 tons as are the shock mounts . Then you have the u-joint differences for the front driveshaft and the steering may or may not bolt right in . It is definetly do-able just know what it's going to take before you turn the first wrench . The overall spring length eye to eye should be checked also . Basically you can bolt anything and everything from a 3/4 ton and a 1/2 ton together as bolt on parts but the 1 tons pretty much stand alone in the suspension department without a bunch of fabricating . Also keep in mind that if you want to put large tires on a dually you'll need a spacer to keep the tires from rubbing together which will need longer studs . Just keep in mind I'm talking about the pre metric chevy's from '73 thru about '85 or '86 because those are the ones I've modified for deep water running . You'll gain a world of fabricating experience . Just DO NOT I repeat - DO NOT!! - put lift blocks in the front suspension for any reason ! I can't stress this stongly enough . It's hard to steer or stop without a front axle attached to the undercarrage . BTST ( been there - seen that ) . It happened to a buddies truck going down a short but steep hill in the dirt . Busted the u-bolts . He only had 1" blocks in front but they stressed the bolts to much with the braking torque and 44" tires . But if you use some common sense all things are possible with these old trucks . Do it and have fun ! ...Randy
