Most of your DTM-direct to metal- paints are high-high quality acrylic latexs. The newer acrylic components used have excellent adhesion. Most major paint manufacturers will have DTM's in their industrial lines- Sherwin Williams, Progress Paints also Kurfee's/Grayseal, etc. The chain store brand paints will not- Ace, Behr, Glidden. The DTM's also will have their own primers-use the entire package from one manufacturer for best results.
