Wow, all great ideas and just the stuff I was looking for. I will be trying all or some of them this weekend until I get that drum off.

The brake shoes are adjusted completely away from the drum and I don't know what an axel nut is but the picture is as I found the drum and hub when I removed the wheel.

I had heated the drum but now I believe that I had not heated it nearly enough. I also believe that the puller just isn't helping so I'm going to take that off, get some good heat going and start pounding on that sucker till I win. yes I will put back the wheel nuts with some clearance. If I need to I also will drill a few holes in there for lub, that sounds like a good idea, but after I take out some frustration on the face of that feller.

Thanks again a bunch and when I get it off I will post a picture and discription of how it went. Hopefully that post will be on Monday.....
