ford 5000

Just bought a ford 5000 deisel it looks rough but runs good with some blow by when it heats up good . I,m looking to use my 5000 to maintain a half mile of dirt road with a scraper blade and also other light projects around four acres.I need help identifying fluid levels the transmission has a dip stick but the rear end has a seperate plug down low on the housing and a fill cap above on the top of the housing right back of the seat. I want to know are these two different reservoirs as it seems i have determined, don't most tractor use the same fluid for both.
