My son is a computer tech for local community college - Has a degree in computer repair. Says that it is most likely the video card. (Or mother board, if integrated with video card.) He says that he often talks to the folks at Dell - Most often, he just tells them to just send him the part, which they usually do. (Of course, you have to return the defective one.)
