I grew up runnin' Farmalls mostly, and they were just great tractors...except for the F-12 I ran....that was the most under powered angry handling little clunker I ever set my butt on. Now I've got 3 restored two cylinder John Deeres and they, especially the G models, are sure fun to play around with and tinker on. They have real "character" all their own. They are pretty thirsty if you work 'em very hard. I've got an old '47 Moline UTU and that thing is fun too...and thirsty. Sure, I've got an H Farmall and an M Farmall, they are the nice "civilized" tractors they always were....almost boring though, they just do the job....and that's it.
