I am a die hard farmall fan, but I grew up on them and there fairly easy to keep going, however I like all the old jewels. I have spent many hours on John Deeres and the only fault I ever seen was fuel consumption seemed to be high. I have also worked a few of the older Allis Chalmers and Oliver they seemed fine to me. I did work for a guy when I was younger that had all Massey the 135 and 35 he had were as good as any I ever drove, he also had two 285s and niether of them were any good from the start, he had a big V8 massey that gave him fits. I think tractors are like cars and trucks there will be good and bad in all kinds. I still bleed Farmall red.I do pick at some of my JD buddies all in good fun. One good buddy of mine gave me a small magnetic sign that says friends dont let friends drive red tractors I keep it on my red 666 all the time.
