Any Google Earth users?

I just got into using google earth, awsome. its sure beats looking at an atlas. I just down loaded the free version and notice there is alot of hazed out area's, you can't get good detail. Can you get better detail with the pay versions? what is the difference between the diffrent pay versions? It sure would be nice if I could use it to map out fields with a GPS. any one use this ??
