Hi Mark, I use a loader for a heck of a lot more than just handling hay bales and afraid a spear would just not get used much around here. Couldn't be without the darned thing to use for this job or that and a loader wouldn't be much of a tool for me without that extra "thumb". Force of habit I guess. Dunno, just never had the need for a 4X4 or it's outlandish cost either. :>) Allan
