What happened to supper!!!!

When I was growing up in the 60s here in so. Mn. we had breakfast around 6:00 in the morning. Then after chores around 9:00 we went to house for lunch which was a snack of cheese or maybe a jelly sandwich. At 12:00 noon we had dinner at about 3:00 we had what we called a snack which was an orange or apple. around 5:30 or 6:00 we had supper. In evening we had a night snack which was ice creem or maybe a couple of cookies. Now they put coffee in port-a-cup grab a wrapped sweetroll to eat while driving to work. They do not call that breakfast. What they eat at 12:00 noon they call lunch. the snack they eat midafternoon is called afternoon break and what they eat at 6:00 in evening they call dinner. Question? When do they eat supper? Were we calling things by wrong name years ago or is that what everyone did? It is not kosher to use the word supper anymore as I foundout when we went to eat at an upscale restaurent at 6:30 one evening. Anxiously awaiting your reply. The Flying Belgian.
