I am not familiar with Alabama's anti-stalking laws, but I would think that intent would be part of the law. In other words, what is the intent of the behavior. Is it to harass an individual unlawfuly or is it to recover your stolen property? Most anti-stalking laws are to cover harassing behavior in divorce cases and the like. I would definatley talk to the Deputy's supervisor and the Prosecuting Attorney. If you recovered your trailer and they were stupid enough to charge you, I would suspect that a jury of your peers would see the light.
