I painted a couple of cars outside in the past with good results. I do recall I got some fisheyes on a fender once and figured out it was because the temps were in the 90's that day and I was sweating and my sweat dripped on the fender. Had to do that one over again, but wore a headband the next time. Here are some pics of my EW grain trailer I painted last year and it was all done outside too. I had to brush paint the wood sides first as they were really dry. In the pics it's up on a set of car ramps as I had to slide under to paint all the running gear frame work and I needed room for my jelly belly. That was the first time I recall spray painting upside down and yes I was almost as blue as the trailer when I got done.

And this picture was taken a few weeks later after I put the upper boards back on.
