This farm started 35 yrs ago with 2 Shorthorn heifers on 17 acres. The herd has grown to 155 head twice over the years. The farm owns about 200 acres rents 400 more. Crops are principally alfalfa hay, grass hay first cut off pastures, and corn for livestock feed. We take pride in our registered Shorthorn breeding stock. Reputation�s such we�ve sold starter herds sight on seen to farmers in and out of state. And furnished club calves for 4H projects for years.
Age creeping up on we�ve added a few more 1850 Oliver�s to the mechanized line up. Less chance dropping a heavy implement tongue on an old man�s feet to slow to get out of the way. Going to hang in here as long as our days and/or years last. Can�t imagine going to bed without looking forward the next day�s surprises, challenges, adventures and the many bovine lives in our caring hands.
