I retired an 87 Buick LeSabre at 320,000 miles. I used regular Mobil 10W-30 in the summer and Mobil 1 in the winter. Never had to add any oil with 5000 mile changes. Absolutely no problems switching back and forth. Our mailman just retired his 86 LeSabre at 600,000 miles using regular oil with 3000 mile changes.
