Synthetic Oil in Pickup

Hello all. I recently purchased a 2003 Toyota Tundra pickup with the 4.7 V8. On my next oil change I was looking to switch over to synthetic oil. Are there any problems with this? I have heard that there are problems with going to conventional oils after synthetic. Just looking for some input. This truck has 53,000 on it and I want it to go 100,000 more.
