Yes it is crowned both ways. When I watched it being built I could have sworn that it wasn't at all level, all sloping to the far corner but when you are standing in the middle it is level all around with the center crowned. The hillsides make everything seem out of perspective. Us people in southwest PA don't really know what level is anyway. My sister read a lot in different magazines and the contractor had built other rings so despite my misgivings I guess he knew what he was doing.
