OT dude-did that sand puncture my tank

This was 2 summers ago. We were coming home from Lincoln, and in the 'slow' lane on interstate. This jeep is making haste in the 'passing' lane, but I could see he had sparks shooting out from underneath him. I slowed down and made noise and flailed the arms about to get him to pull over. This is what the Jeep looked like in 20 seconds, after stopping. In talking to the 2 young guys, found out they had been at the river for the weekend, and, my guess is they punctured the fuel tank with sand. Of course it was dripping directly on the exhaust system. Greg
