Thats exactly what homeowners insurance is for, if you don't have any coverage, then too bad I doubt if the goverment is going to pay for it. We got a homeowners policy through state farm here. Tried to make a claim last year when a piece of roofing steel came off one of our buildings during a wind storm and hit my truck, but they refused to cover it, said they'd only cover it if my truck was inside one of the buildings and the building either fell down on it, or it burned. Also had a tree fall on a camper, and that wasn't covered either.
