Batteries explode with more frequency than you might think. It always send chills down my spine to see someone with a cigarette in their mouth working on or servicing a battery. I had one pop one night but it blew all the caps off instead of bursting the case, luckily I was near the side tap at the house and got my face washed off before I got chemical burns..beware of batteries!
