BTDT, About 25 years ago. My dad was alway afraid of fire. When we got through combining at the end of the day, he always disconnected the battery on our Gleaner F. Well one evening, it was dark, I cooled it off, shut it down and went back to unhook the battery, the wrench I was using on the positive cable touched the frame, and KABOOMMM!!! Luckily I was not hurt, just surprised. The Battery had been charging all day and I guess giving off some hydrogen, when i sparked across from the wrench, Good lesson. Gene
