In Iowa, plows generally are worth their weight in scrap iron. Especially the 3 to 5 bottom sizes. And since Long wasn't ever a popular plow, and a 3 point 3 bottom plow would be close coupled and so very prone to plugging with corn stalks, its value doesn't rise any. Only garden plows and serious (7 or 8 bottom IH 720 or 730) have value as plows and then only if the plow shares and shins aren't outrageously priced and actually are still available. I paid $125 for my AC 2000 4x18 about 15 years ago. When I went to pick it up from the consignment auction, there were piles of cutting torch debris where the two JD plow had been sitting next to my plow. So I beat out the scrap man. That's how it is.
