The shifter boot is in very good condition and seals tight on both the tranny and the stick. I have pressure washed it and have wondered about water getting in the breather, but I typically try stay away from that area. Even our equipment that is shed kept will get gear boxes with milky oil after a few years. Any thing from thing from the disk mower, rake, and brush hog will get water in the oil. Even the stuff I don't wash.
