Hey guys, Here is our 30 x 56' barn. Thought I would share a photo of it. I started planning this last September asking all of you questions about bracing. I built this barn on concrete pilings. Each pole had a concrete piling to stand on at grade. The concrete was poured to the frost line after drilling 18" diameter holes. A post anchor was fastened to the top of the concrete with a 4.5" lag bolt. Each pole was fasted to an anchor, then stood up with bracing. We used a laser to give pole dimensions so we could cut them before standing them up. Everything was right on. I didn't like walking on the roof much. That 4/12 pitch is a bit steep. Now the only problem is keeping the floor dry. Just had gutters put on it, but considering a shallow french drain all the way around leaving gravel to grade. Anyone ever done this. I don't care if the grass grows up to the sides. Anyway, thanks for the input by many of you last fall. Tim, Ohio
