Remember, you can change your mind if you tear down to the crank, mike it and find it to be bad as well. Proceed as you would with an in-frame rebuild, then if you find the crank needs ground, pull the front end and block.

You can't order bearings til ya know what ya got anyhow.

My crank needed 10/10 cut. I pulled out aftermarket rod bearings and factory crank bearings. Wish I knew more history on this machine.
