Dang I am right on the other side and didn't hear anything of this, even at TJ"s sunday and that is saying something!! Sounds like ya'll need to be at the next meeting and express your opinons on how the first vote was done and your other thoughts in the annexation in general. However, being as I know where you are I will agree that your right and they will probably do it whether you really like it or not unless you all get a lawyer ( expensive) and fight it like the Adams did on their farm. It all boils down ot tax money that the city wants, plus then they can charge you more for other services. As for building onto your shed it shouldn't bother that although you might have to get a permit or something. well ok it will bother you as in more money but...never mind. I am pretty sure within the next 10-15 yrs I'll see this area out here annexed (probably by Martin) but I am hoping I am far enough back from the highway and those apartments up the road that they will stop before getting to me. If all else come on out here and hunt. If ya see some coyotes or wild dogs get them too.:)
