it might just be a coincedence, but i had a toyota 4 runner and had a similiar problem with it one time, took it to the shop and it quit just before i got it there,didnt do it again for awhile, then it started back and a friend happened to be over, he said it was the ground didnt make since to me so he took from the negative battery cable cleaned it up and it quit, me myself wouldnt have beleived it, if the toyota place would have told me that but evidently thats what it was. Electrical things can act mighty strange sometimes, might not be your problem but i would give it a shot and check all the grounds just in case good luck
