If you have it on a bench put the motor upside down so that the keepers just drop in. If it is in the machine put a little chewing gum or some other sticky substance on the end of a rod (I know this is begining to sound a little wierd)Then use your larger screwdrivers and you also might need a little piece of wood or something for a spacer if needed at the far end of the drivers, you could take a piece of flat stock say about 1/4" X 1-1/4 and make a slot wide enough so it will compress the spring and still allow you to install the keepers, you could even try just drilling a large enough hole in the flat stock instead of a slot, you could even put a bend at end so you don't need to use spacers
