I would love to find REAL treated telephone poles that were in good shape for $35 apiece. They would work better than the treated 6x6's that are available to build a pole barn. But the ones I have seen around here have been in poor shape or else the phone/electric companies wouldn't let go of them. They use them over in different locations.

About 15 or 20 years ago, a contractor removed a whole bunch of railroad telegraph poles that were no longer being used. They were real nice, treated from one end to the other with creosote and I think I could have got them for about $25 apiece, delivered. Unfortunately I heard about it too late, and also didn't have any spare money right then. So I missed out...real bummer.

So if you are talking about good, treated poles for $35, I bet you can sell all you can get. Make sure it is legal. But Iowa is too far away for me. Good luck!
