Allen, I got three rolls of 3/8" thick foil faced automotive insulation I'm going to put in one of our 1066 cabs to see how much I can quite it down. I figured I'd start at the fuel tank and insulate everything I can from there back to stop as much noise and heat as possible from reaching the cab. I think the hoods on those tractor's act like an echo chamber that funnel all the noise back into the cab so I want to try to stop the noise before it gets to the cab.
