problems with getting replys to photo ads

Anyone had this problem with this site before ??Saw a post of someone else who replied to a photo ad and never got a reply from the poster. The owner of the tractor reposted on the forum and the original interested party piped up that he had asked about the tractor months ago using the reply function and never heard from the poster. I am haveing what I think is the same problem with a JD 494A planter lested here. # replys sent over the last week and a half and nothing. Does that reply thing even work ????????
