We have been doing it on the feeders for years . I posted below on the mix we use , now as for weight gain i would have to ask my buddys kid as he has been keeping track of the weight gains of each steer .He said one day and it the moment i can not remember . Now the only thing i can say about barley is that ya sure want to make sure that when your combining it KEEP THE DOOR on the combine closed and a good cab filter . If ya don't you'll be itch soooooo bad before the day is done . I am the one that does the combineing so i know where i am comming from.
