I would get another opinion from another mechanic or a neibour with a truck like yours.
In your 14ooo miles have the brakes felt better.
Could be expanding brake flex line about to brake or a wheel bearing going or rear shoes out of adjustment....etc.
I would get another opinion from somewhere.
My opinion is that it is not normal.
