Dodge Ram and Trailer

I have a 97 Dodge Ram 1500 with tow package. I have tandem axle trailer with electric brakes. All the lights and brakes work on the trailer except for the parking lights. The connection is a 7 pin flat. When I hook my small trailer with a 4 pin connection the parking lights dont work with that one either. The problem is in the truck I am assuming. What could be the problem?
