The 340 was introduced in '58, replaced by the 504 in '62.
The 340 Fast Hitch had Traction Control etc. Three point Fast Hitch did as well. There may have
been a "commercial 3 point" available without, but I don't know for certain. Fast Hitch to 3 point
adapters were available from IH and other sources.
If you are talking gas powered, the engine was the C-135 which was also used in power units, on
some engine powered equipment etc. I can't quote which Diesel was used, but it was substantially
bigger than the gas engine.
