We have had a 340 utility for many years, it was bought used whenit was around 4 years old, my mother thinks it is a 1964 model. I couldn't tell you what it is worth, there aren't too many of them around here never see them for sale. Since yours isn't running, I wouldn't pay too much. Our tractor has what IH called the fast hitch, the implements have two pointed bars that slide into the arms of the tractor. The dealer we bought it from supplied a 3 point hitch adapter, from the look of it, it looks like something a machine shop fabbed up. It's made of heavt material and worked pretty well with a 10 foot 3 point cultivator, we now use it with a 3 point Woods rotary mower. If you buy it, I can take the measurements of the adapter and mail a drawing to you. I don't know anything about traction control or tel-a-depth, I'll check the owners manual, but that may have been offered later than our tractor was built.
I think the engine is very similar internally to a IH C, but someone else out there may know for sure. I've always wondered if some of the engines IH put into their combines, before they went rotary, would fit; I looked at one years ago, I think it was a 715 combine, and they sure looked similar. We really like ours; one of the best features is the fact that the hitch can be raised and lowered, it makes it easy to hitch up to things without having to jack up the implement hitch. Good luck.
