I agree, 1 shot dead deer, 2 shots maybe dead deer, 3 shots - deer is running away. At least that is what I think happens around here. Fool to the West of me this morning shot six in a row. This is shotgun only so I know he was shooting at running deer. He wasn't picking off the group of five does I see all the time. Someone East of me had a good day. Heard one shot in the morning and one in the evening. I took no shots today. Saw one running deer just South of my fenceline early this morning. Saw 12 wild turkeys walk past my parked truck inthe valley field. Fly over the 35" electric netting fence I have around my flock of sheep. Get stuck in with the sheep for awhile not figuring out they have got to fly one more time to get out of the paddock...
Just before dark saw doe and buck in the woods, about 30 yards East of my fenceline. Did not shoot, don't have permission to hunt that land. Might go out again Sunday evening. Deer tore down the electric netting on Thursday evening, letting the sheep escape.
