Well I was out checking for eggs around noon today and saw a hen out in the barn, she should have been in the chicken pen but wasn't. Well she had 6 chicks with her, we got the chicks and the hen now in a building. So heres the question. Isn't it a little on the late side of the year for chicken to be hatching eggs?? Has any body else been haveing it happen with there chickens?? I also have a goose thats laying eggs which also seems out of place for this time of year. Thanks By the way the hen has 6 chicks with her and 3 eggs that haven't hatched yet, she had 8 chicks but 2 died.
