There is some good advise here. My question is, Why should he have to talk with a supervisor? Aren't all cops supposed to trained to handle these kind of things? They show up at the door, the parents aren't going to be so quick to dismiss it. All they have to do is talk about the penalties without accusing anyone. By the time you go to the supervisor, the kids figure out a good alabi. Not meaning to sound like I'm against the police but it seems sometimes they aren't there to serve. My mom had a bad experience with the police. She was renting out the 2 other rooms in her apartment. Her name was on the lease and the owner OK'd it. She went away for the weekend and they changed the locks on her and wouldn't even let her get her things. Even with a police escort they wouldn't let her in. The cops were no use. I went and talked to an officer at a station near me. He said they can't keep her stuff. If they feel she cheated them and owe them money, they have to sue her. I went with my mom to the station in her area to the head supervisor and even mentioned what I was told at a different station. He did absolutely nothing! My mom was out thousands of dollars worth of furniture and bedding and even her golf clubs and computer. Since you are a policeman, could you explain why. My mom didn't owe them anything, they decided to deal directly with the owner and he went along with it. Sorry if I went off topic but since there is a cop on line, I thought I'd ask. Thanks Dave
