Having been a cop for 20 years I can offer this advice. Go see the cop you talked to"s supervisor. Cases like this where you "know who did it" aren"t necessarily easy to work. The law requires a bit more than than heasrsay evidence. Talk to the supervisor, tell him what you know and go from there.
